A birthday they'll actually remember.

Three age tracks, three kinds of party. Pick the one that fits, then leave the planning to us — we bring the cake stand, run the activities, take the group photo and serve the food.

The brief

One venue, three very different parties.

Angle Entertainment runs birthday parties for every age from five-year-olds chasing dinosaurs around an escape room to seventy-year-olds finally telling everyone they\'ve always wanted to throw an axe. We split the offer into three age tracks because the right party for a six-year-old is genuinely different from the right party for a sixteen-year-old, and both are different from the right thirtieth.

Every birthday booking includes a free Lounge Pass for the whole group, a reserved space for food and presents, a host who keeps the day moving, and the option to bring your own cake. Click into the right age track below for a tailored package, or call us on 01733 602010 and we\'ll build a hybrid for a mixed-age party.

What every birthday includes

We bring the cake stand. You bring the cake.

Every birthday booking at Angle includes a free Lounge Pass for the entire group, a reserved space for food and presents, a host who keeps the day moving, the option to bring your own cake (we'll keep it cool and bring it out at the right moment), banner-and-balloon decorations, and a group photo taken at the door of the escape room. The adult parties get full table service from the Angle Grill; the kids' parties get a kid-friendly food menu and party-bag option.

A birthday venue actually inside Peterborough

Angle is at 939 Lincoln Road in Walton, ten minutes from the city centre and ten minutes from Peterborough rail station. Free on-site parking, big enough for the whole party in one car park. Easy direct drive from the A47 and the A1(M) at Junction 17 — convenient for families coming in from Cambridge, Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech, March, Leicester or Grantham. Trains direct to Peterborough station from London Kings Cross, Cambridge, Leicester, Nottingham and Stamford if cousins are coming in from out of town.

Four activities live under the same roof: seven escape rooms (covering horror, heist, neon-arcade, viking-saga and dinosaur themes), a coached axe range, the only public indoor bouldering wall in the city, and Cambridgeshire\'s biggest gaming lounge. The whole venue is alcohol-free by design, which makes it work as well for a six-year-old\'s birthday as it does for a sixteen-year-old\'s, and is a real draw for adult birthdays where the host wants the focus on the activities rather than the bar tab.

Mixed-age birthdays are our favourite kind

The hardest birthday to plan is the one where the host has a six-year-old, the host\'s partner has a thirty-six-year-old\'s parents, and there\'s a teen cousin somewhere in the mix. Four-activities-in-one-venue is unusually well-suited to this: the kids can chase dinosaurs around the Dino escape room while the adults race the Vault, swap halfway, and everyone meets in the gaming lounge for cake afterwards. The bouldering wall is great for kids and adults alike — under-8s within arm\'s reach of an adult, under-16s in line of sight.

Tell us the age range and the headcount when you call and we\'ll suggest the right room mix and the right shape of the day. If you\'re trying to plan around a relative who can\'t do an axe lane (mobility, hand injury, just doesn\'t want to), the gaming lounge or an accessible escape room (Blade of the Father, Arcade) gives them a parallel activity for the same hour so no-one is sitting in the lobby.

FAQs

Things people ask about birthdays at Angle.

If yours isn't here, call us on 01733 602010.

Group sizes are flexible — anything from a six-player escape-room party up to a full-venue takeover for a milestone birthday. Talk to us with the headcount. The axe range takes four throwers per lane, so larger parties book multiple lanes.

Pricing is per-head and depends on the age track and which activities you pick. Escape rooms are tiered: 2 in a room £24 each, 3 £22, 4 £20, 5+ £18. Axe throwing is £15pp Mon–Thu and £20pp Fri–Sun. Gaming-lounge wristbands are £5pp all day. Adult full-venue takeovers are POA — talk to us.

Yes, always. Drop it off when you arrive and we'll keep it cool and bring it out at the food slot. Candles welcome, smoke detectors permitting.

Hot food has to come from the Angle Grill while the kitchen's open. You're welcome to bring birthday cake, party-bag snacks and birthday extras (sweets, jelly, novelty crisps). If you have specific catering requirements that the Grill can't cover, talk to us early.

Axe throwing is 11+ (under-16s need an adult in the lane). Bouldering is open to all ages — under-8s within arm's reach of an adult, under-16s in line of sight, padded flooring throughout. The Dino escape room is age-rated 8+ and is the family-friendly favourite; under-16s always have an adult in the room with them.

Yes — at least one parent or carer must stay on-site throughout for both kids' and teen parties. The age rules drive this: under-16s need an adult in the lane for axe throwing, an adult in the room for escape rooms, and an adult in line of sight for bouldering. Our host runs the activity briefs and the rotation; you're free to watch with a coffee or join in.

Optional add-on for kids' parties. Small per-head cost. Tell us the headcount at the booking stage and we'll set them on the reserved table.

For weekend slots, especially Saturday afternoons, the earlier the better — three to six weeks is comfortable. Weekday-evening teen parties usually have more give.

Free on-site parking off Lincoln Road. Big enough for the whole party in one car park — no NCP, no pay-and-display, no walking the kids from a multi-storey.

Bouldering and the gaming lounge are step-free. Two escape rooms (Blade of the Father and Arcade) are wheelchair-accessible; the other five are upstairs. Tell us about access needs at the booking stage.

Click "Plan a party" at the top of the page to start the booking on the portal, or call us on to hold the slot while you confirm numbers.

Tell us as soon as you know. The activities are charged per head, so if a kid drops out at the last minute we'll re-block the lanes and refund the activity fees for the missing head. Food already pre-ordered needs to be paid for.

Tell us when, we'll do the rest.

Group enquiries answered same day. Mixed-age party? We'll build a custom run-sheet that keeps everyone busy.
