Steel, timber, thunk.
A modern sport that took off in the US — and we're here to bring it to the UK. Hurl a specialised throwing axe at a timber target. Coached the whole way through. Like darts, but bigger.

Peterborough's first axe-throwing range — and still the foremost.
When axe throwing crossed the Atlantic from North America, Angle was the first venue in Peterborough to put proper lanes on the floor. Years on, we're still the city's go-to range — coached, social and built for groups who want something a bit more memorable than another pint.
Each axe-throwing session at Angle runs for a full sixty minutes in a private lane that's yours for the booking. We don't mix groups, so it's just you and your mates — no awkward sharing, no rushed turns. Your coach takes you through the safety brief, the stance, the swing and the release before you start scoring. Most people are sticking the axe in the wood inside ten minutes.
Group axe throwing in Peterborough
Up to four throwers per lane, multiple lanes available — so whether you're a couple looking for a different date night or a stag do of twenty trying to crown a champion, we can set you up. Bigger groups can rotate across lanes with the gaming lounge in between rounds; your booking includes a free lounge wristband for every thrower, so the night doesn't end at the buzzer.
What's included in every session
A trained coach for the full hour, a safety brief, full use of our axes (no need to bring your own), competitive games projected onto the targets, and World Axe Throwing League rules — including the WATL provisions for throwers with disabilities. We've put thousands of people through the range, and the coaches have seen everything from first-timers to competitive league players.
Booking, walk-ins and lane availability
Lanes are bookable online seven days a week, by phone on 01733 602010, or as walk-ins when a lane is free — but at peak times (Friday and Saturday evenings, school holidays, Christmas party season) we sell out, so book ahead. Sessions run from noon to 8pm every day. Mid-week is the quietest, weekend evenings the busiest.
